Attention all crackberry whores:

Is there a Blackberry which you can actually write emails on and include attchments like word documents and jpg files?

Does this same device work as a tri/quad band GSM digital mobile/cell phone and is actually comfortable to hold for 20 minute conversations?

Is there memory for 250 phone numbers and 250 email addresses?

Do they synch with laptops?

Recommendations from power users?

Jeez you ask a lot of questions :p

A funky device I've seen is the jazjam "i-mate"... has a QWERTY slide-out keyboard, and works on next-G network. Not a blackberry per se, but I'm sure you could make it work like one :-)

No idea. My boss tried to give me a blackberry and I refused, 'cuz sometimes I don't WANT to be in touch.

Hmmm, Dave, Out On The Front Edge of Technology.

Tell us what you find.

And I suppose it must have enough storage for the 100 Favorite Photos of your children and beloved...

Say now, I'll ask a question--listened to part of Jim Svejda's interview of Zealand composer John Psathas this evening. I noticed the vowels and tried to recall the extent of a difference between a Kiwi accent and the OZ accent. As an American (we don't know geography, and little of anything else) I cannot usually distinguish Commonwealth would you describe the difference between OZ and NZ, if any?

Back to your Personal Device--good luck.

Does it have to be a Blackberry? I have a Palm Treo, and it does everything you've asked, and more (including taking video, bluetooth, ifrared). Syncs with Outlook/Exchange flawlessly, and depending on your carrier, you can access networked, shared corporate folders.

Oh, and one other thing - it is one of the only devices that has a touch-sensitive screen - Blackberrys are all wheel and scroll...
